1. Drag Multiple Apps
On both the iPhone and iPad, you can now select multiple apps. Tap and hold apps till they jiggle. Tap on one
app
and drag it. Now tap on other app icons and they’ll be selected as
well. Now go to another page and release your finger to drop them all.
2. Type to Siri
There’s a new toggle in
Settings ->
Accessibility ->
Siri that enables the options to type to Siri.
3. Customizable Control Center
The redesigned Control Center is one of the biggest
features in iOS 11. But it gets better. Control Center is actually customizable. Go to
Settings ->
Control Center and you’ll be able to add and remove actions.
4. Screen Recording
One of the actions that you can add to Control Center is
Screen Recording. This is the only way to enable this feature. When you
tap on the Screen Recording feature, you’ll start recording your screen.
Tap on the blue bar at the top to stop the recording. The video file
will be saved in the Photos app.
5. One Handed Keyboard
iOS
11 brings one-handed mode for iPhone 6 and higher. Tap and hold the
Globe icon. Then tap on the left/right docked icon to engage the one
handed mode.
6. Unified Notifications
You’ll now be able to access all notifications from the Lock Screen. In the empty space, just swipe up to see the Notifications.
7. Flick Keys in iPad
On your iPad Pro, swipe down on any key to type the alternate character.

8. Redesigned Storage Management Tab
The
Storage and Cloud Usage tab is now just called
iPhone Storage. And it now
shows a storage bar at the top. The apps are listed based on storage space used. You’ll also see when the app was last used.
9. Automatically Uninstall Unused Apps
There’s a new option in
iPhone Storage section that lets you automatically uninstall old apps when you’re low on storage. This only uninstalls the app. The app
data and documents are saved. You can do this on a per app basic from the detail view of the app.
10. Bolder Text Everywhere
A smaller design change in iOS 11 that’s everywhere from the
Phone app to Notes app is the use of bolder typography, especially in headings.
